Johan de Wet (BA, BA (Hons) MA Psychology (cum laudé) and H Dip Ed (University of Pretoria) has been a registered Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa since 1983.
He served in various HR Manager positions in the Road Passenger Industry over a period of 24 years, gaining extensive exposure to and experience in all areas of HR Management, but particularly in the field of Labour Relations and Skills Development.
He has served on various industry bodies and committees including the Road Passenger Bargaining Council as well as the Executive Committee and of the Road Passenger Chamber of the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA). In 2003 his passion for skills development led to his becoming one of the founding members of LearnCorp. His particular skills in this field have led to his being used by TETA as external moderator/ verifier for transport qualifications, as well as a learning programme evaluator. He has conducted extensive work in the field of HRD quality management systems having assisted many in-house training providers to set up quality management systems and to achieve accreditation. He is considered a leading authority in the field of skills development. He lectures part time at the University of Johannesburg in the field of labour relations.
Although his portfolio in LearnCorp involves quality management and product development, he is also extensively involved in management and labour relations consulting at a very wide level.
